Sick Kids Save Point

Hey Guys!

Back again, I’ve been up to all sorts over the last few weeks which has kept me suitable busy.

But today I thought I’d just pop in and mention my wonderful friend Graham who is next weekend participating in Sick Kids Save Point a 24 hour video gaming marathon for The Sick Kids Friends Foundation.

The foundation supports the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. The Hospital receives over 100,000 children through its doors each year from all over the country.

Donations help provide:

* Extra comforts, which make time in hospital better for children
* Facilities
* Extra medical equipment
* Support for sick children who are cared for in the Community
* Funding for extra training and research

So please consider donating even just £1 as every little bit helps make these poor little guys’ stay in hospital better, to donate visit his JustGiving site.

Thanks so much you are all stars!

Not Missing!

Hey all,

Just to let you know don’t worry I’m not missing, I haven’t been kidnapped by aliens and I am still here writing just work has demanded a little more of my time over the past two months with people off on their summer hols. The good news is I am still thinking of my writing and often wander back to look at it in the few spare minutes so once things have quieted down a little I should be back on track once more and you will have another couple of stories to read.

I’ve also recently become involved with a group called Operation Shoebox who I discovered whilst doing some research for my most recent WIP. The are an a mazing group of people who give their free time towards putting welfare boxes together for our service men and women who are oversees. If you are interested in helping there are many different things you can do to help just pop over to their site.

I recently received an interesting suggestion to expand my short story Senghenydd for the centenary of the event next year so I have many projects lined up at the moment!

I hope you are all well and are having a good summer.

Sunny-day Short Story Giveaway!

That’s right another free short story available on kindle for today only!

Senhenydd.

An emotional short story based on the largest coal mining disaster in Britain. On the 14th of October 1913 there were several explosions throughout the Senghenydd mine in Glamorgan, South Wales.
This short story recounts one woman’s experience of waiting for news of her husband and two sons who were working down the mine at the time of the accident. (Approx. 2,250 words)

And the best bit is that it is FREE! Click here to get your copy  🙂

So for this beautifully sunny day why not get a free short story to read whilst you lounge in your deck chair with a lovely iced tea, if you’re unfortunately not getting the same weather a us here in the UK perhaps curling up on the sofa with a steaming cuppa tea would be more suitable!
